Poster

Image
This is a poster I made recently. First I drew the hand pointing(I am getting to enjoy drawing hands!), and when it was done I decided to make a slogan to go with it, so that I did.

A very good self portrait

Image
I made this earlier on in December, but forgot to share here. I think its the best self portrait I ever made.

A pine tree in a Snowy land

Image
I made this inspired from the pine trees in Kashmir. The pine tree is actually a pine cone painted green and the bit of snowy ground is made out of clay(painted white). The snowballs are thermocol balls.

Canvas

Image
This is the canvas I recently painted. I just love it! I really want to get it framed, but it hasn't been framed yet, so I added this frame myself on computer :P

Dot Painting Workshop

Image
I attended this workshop at  L2L Academy  in October, 2015, where we learnt how to do dot art with both ink and pencil. Here is the stuff I drew with dots. First we learnt to draw basic shapes and shade them with dots instead of pencil strokes  My Name in dots! I sketched this trophy.  We made A Gradient or Shade Palate with ink to understand thickness and density of dots I traced this picture with dots

FunFonts by me

Image
You may call these graffiti, or typography, or anything, but I call them my fonts. These fonts are a style of writing I have developed not long ago. The real inspiration were the cool fonts at  dafont . I also learnt how to make the letter 's' another way, and so my first font, sunny fun, was created. Here they are, in order, from best to worst. the prettiest ever Entwined with flowers made out of wood Sparks Funk My style of cursive

Frozen Characters-Elsa and Anna

Image
I recently tried drawing Elsa and Anna! It was real fun, but the drawings are totally weird. In both Elsa and Anna, the lips are really bad, and Elsa's hands and Anna's eyes are just awful. You might think Elsa looks better than Anna, but then Anna was more difficult to draw. Anna'a clothes are(I think!) perfect, because I had the exact shades. These are  just  awful! Visit  Kenza's Art Blog , she draws Elsa and Anna really well.

How to draw Figures and Faces

Image
Some say I'm good at drawing people. I decided to post a tutorial for those who want to learn how to make better figures. If you want to draw a self portrait, it is best to use a mirror. A photo would do too. If you want to draw someone else or a character of a movie, use a photo or image for reference.  Get people to pose for you so you can draw them.(though most people are reluctant when you ask them to pose for you so it's better to sneak up with your sketch pad when nobody's looking!) I usually draw on white paper on my sketch pad. Whatever you do, make sure your drawings are compiled so don't use loose pages. Start with a notebook and a black pointer. 1.Make the face, and the beginning of the neck. Make sure the face is oval.                                  Most people have oval shaped faces, though if you are drawing a circle-faced                                                                                                                    person

Sketches and Doodles

Image
Recently, I got a little sketch pad. I love to draw in it, and others love to look at those sketches. They say my drawings are masterpieces. I don't think so. These are just sketches that took me barely 5 minutes to draw. Check these out! You can look at them in Fullscreen mode by clicking on them.

Posters for the Seminar

Image
The ERDC  Seminar,  'Who Fails when a child Fails?' ,  took place on August 01, 2015.  My sister and I also made posters for the Poster Exhibition. Here are the two I made.

Sketch: a car

Image
My cousin requested me to do a drawing of a car for her to color in. I drew this car by copying from one of those little dinkies my brother has.

The Stool I made long ago

Image
This is a stool that I made long ago, when I was almost 10 years old, at a Wood Work course that we attended at  L2L Academy  where we learnt to make furniture (stools, chairs and tables, etc.) without nails and glue. This demanded quite a lot of hard work and took more than 24 hours to make. I used to love my Stool but then it was very weak so it was retired to a corner of the house and we never used it.  A few weeks ago, I decided to show it to my little cousin and took it out. Upon assembling it, I realized what useful it was. I decided to knock in some nails and glue it together and find some use of it. It took barely an hour to renew it. I made a polish of my own by mixing water, German glue and silver and copper colored dust together and painted it over. It looks great, and is useful too. I'm glad I decided to do it!

How to make Loom Bracelets!

Image
Making Loom Band Bracelets is an easy and fun art. Although some kids buy whole kits containing DIY Loom Bands and tools to make them, making Loom Bands is simple and requires only your fingers and colored rubber bands. This is a guide to making basic loom bands, with your fingers. 1. Decide on a color scheme and pick out some loom bands. I chose a 'Random' color scheme 2. Take a rubber band and put it in one finger. Twist it and put in the other finger. Like this 3. Put in two rubber bands, without twisting them. See? 3.Once you have 3 Rubber bands, pop the last one in the middle of your two fingers. Cute, isn't it? 4. Keep repeating steps 1-3. You will start to form a braid of rubber bands. When it is about 3 and a half inches long... Like this. 5. ...Pop one all the rubber bands in both your fingers in one finger. Attach a clasp or thread both ends together to form a ring or a bracelet. Your ring, ready! 6. Your loom band i

Photos from Tando Allah Yar

Image
About a couple of weeks ago, I went to Rashidabad, a city in Sindh. On the way, we visited a farm in Tando Allah Yar (pronounced tando-lah-yar) where we saw lots of mango and banana trees.  Here are some photos I took over there. This is the drawing I drew in Rashidabad. Sorry, they're not much. Enjoy!
