Portrait
Last Saturday, my younger brother was busy working on the laptop. He was too busy to notice his surroundings, and so, taking advantage of this, I secretly did a sketch of him(after the initial sketch, I decided to paint over it with water colours, but the effect was so horrible that I destroyed the painting. But I'm glad I've got a good photograph of the sketch!)
'Poor posture' |
I altered the brightness and contrast to make the pencil strokes more visible |
Very Nice. Keep it up Zainab!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteIt's a great idea o do a quick sketch of someone when they're not looking. I think that it would really help to build up skill of drawing people. I've always wanted to try drawing portraits of people but I know that people in my family might not have time to sit down especially for that, so perhaps it would be a good idea to practice drawing them when they're busy! I like how you've just created an impression of the table rather than drawing every little detail, it has a nice effect. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Megan!
ReplyDeleteIts interesting how you made a sketch of your brother without letting him notice.I am amazed by your drawing skills!
ReplyDeleteGreat work! I'm impressed :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up!!
Thank you :)
DeleteThis sketch is great Zainab!! It's always good practice in art to sketch from your surroundings as it further improves your skill of recognising how to draw the subject in future drawings. (I agree with Megan there! :D) I've also noticed that you have a beautiful style in your all your artwork! Another thing I wanted to mention is that I really like how you're always trying new things, like adding the watercolours to this drawing; even though you mentioned it was a mistake, that's actually a good thing because you'll learn from it next time and it means you're always experimenting new techniques (as implied by the quote you've featured above!). I wish I had more time to draw people from real life (I just never get round to it! xD)... it's a fun task and I've noticed a lot of artists like to do it in cafes. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your realism drawings, keep up the good work! <3
