Light & Dark - an exploration of contrast through photography

Last month, I attended a workshop titled ' The Basics of Photography ', held at ERDC . On the final day of the workshop, participants were supposed to give a presentation of photographs they took over the course of the workshop. We were free to present any of our photography, however, there was one important criteria: the photographs being presented must have some meaning, or tell a story. This time when we went to the park in our locality, I decided to take a few photographs. So I took some of the plants and flowers I really liked. Btw, I searched so desperately for a china rose (hibiscus rosea) in full bloom but failed to find any. I so love those. Sunset Rose A bunch of lovely pinks A plant in a flowerpot. I was intrigued by this one because of the size and shape of its leaves. However the picture doesn't focus that well. click on it for a better view. Anyways, Happy -belated-spring!

Photos from Tando Allah Yar

Image
About a couple of weeks ago, I went to Rashidabad, a city in Sindh. On the way, we visited a farm in Tando Allah Yar (pronounced tando-lah-yar) where we saw lots of mango and banana trees.  Here are some photos I took over there. This is the drawing I drew in Rashidabad. Sorry, they're not much. Enjoy!
