Canvas painting(untitled)

I made this Canvas painting during Ramadan with acrylics. The canvas was perhaps the largest ever I painted-the size was beautiful-a long 12'' by 36'' inches(1 by 3 feet) and I had a great time painting this. The only two colors I used were white and aquamarine blue. The results are satisfactory, I suppose. Now the painting is leaning against the table where my laptop sits, waiting to be framed. :D

I am sorry for the bad
photography :/

  1. Zainab this is amazing!! The night sea theme you've chosen here is so beautiful. I adore the texture there for the waves! How did you achieve that? The dark effect on the sky illuminated by the crescent moon has a charming aesthetic. Another thing I really like about this is that you've tried two new challenges - a different-sized canvas and only two colours to mix with. It's really interesting - I'd love to see the process of your canvas paintings some day. :D

    1. I also meant to mention that you've painted the boat so well, it looks super neat! The overall theme is rather tranquil with a lone boat in the calm night ocean. ^^

    2. Hey thanks Kenza! :D I made the waves with a size 12 round brush, without using a palette (I often use paint straight from the tube instead of using a palette.) :)

I would also like to post a canvas painting step-to-step someday here but I find it rather difficult to photograph a painting while making it - I guess I am so engrossed in the painting while I am making it to do that! XD
